Tiptoes & Paw Prints

The design for this addition/renovation spawned as a result from the needs of this growing family of five and their love of animals. Being confined in a traditional salt box themed house, they had little room for gatherings where they could all interact together including their four legged friends. With attachment to the location of the house, creativity to open up the space was needed to ensure all needs were met on the existing site.  A warm and inviting sun room was nestled in close to the entry of the house and welcomes family and guests. A generous sized kitchen was added with spacious counter tops, an island for supplementary food prep that doubles as additional space for eating, a double oven, and an over-sized refrigerator. A keeping room adjacent to the kitchen allows for flow of conversation and activities among the family, and provides a small message center/desk area for scheduling and origination of extra curriculum events. For larger occasions, a formal dining room and wet bar were included.
