Magnolia Bliss

With a growing family, the owners’ need for larger shared spaces was not only a necessity, but a yearning for a more family friendly design to encourage a well-rounded flow of conversation.  The renovation of this traditional New England style home was generated to open up the galley style kitchen and create a layout that heartens communication. The open floor concept with 10 ft ceilings and 8 ft doors was designed for spaces that flow seamlessly and inspires dialog among people. Magnolia Bliss was created to offer a flow of peace and harmony during waking hours while providing private escapes for quiet nights. The foyer immediately welcomes and peaks interest with the inclusion of a piano that invites communication through notes and melodies. The sunken living room offers adequate space for gatherings and includes a children’s nook that provides indoor entertainment but also offers views and access to a covered patio for intervals of outdoor time. To accommodate sufficient space for meal preparation, double ovens were embedded in the wall and an island was added which also provides overflow seating and creates storage space with built in shelves. A butler’s pantry supplements the storage needs and a wet bar and formal dining room offer further entertaining options. The master suite proposes a place of privacy with a small sitting area and emboldens tranquility with a separate tub and dual head walk-in tiled shower.
