Contemporary elements are folded within the rugged framework of stone and heavy timbers creating a fashionable junction of a farmhouse feel indoors while producing a more nature loving waterfront retreat outdoors. In various ways, the site played an especially significant role in determining orientation and design of the home.  The design was driven by the desire to capitalize on the potential of this existing site while intertwining the architecture of the home and entertaining areas into the landscape and providing a modest profile on the shoreline. Pitched roofs hover above walls clad in stacked limestone and reclaimed timber complimenting the house as it sits nestled in an abundance of overgrown trees. A screened porch extends from the house so as not to shade the interior, and allows outdoor use during the long summer mosquito season. The two story space in the great room has floor to ceiling glass creating a picture-perfect view to the water. Exposed timbers and a stone fire place create an inviting and comfortable feel. The open floor concept incorporates the generous kitchen, dining, and great rooms which inspires and delivers sufficient space to accommodate family time and interaction all the while providing a panoramic lake view.
