The owners of this contemporary residence are all about entertaining crowds.  Whether cooking and hosting dinner parties or playing live music on the stage at the on-site bar, this house was built for interaction among groups and is situated on 80 acres of gorgeous rolling meadows. The site for the 4,000 sqft house was carefully chosen to take full advantage of the gently sloping terrain and sun exposure while providing views across the meadow and even includes an elevated viewing deck. The design motif for the main house was to complete the modern residence where various members of the owners’ extended family and friends could gather and experience the wonders of the site, while also serving as an intimate home for two. The language of the house speaks to outdoor living by elongating the open floor concept and includes disappearing walls of glass connecting the living room and kitchen/dining room to the patio area which offers covered or sunning decks, an infinity pool, a hot tub, a fire pit surrounded by lounge seating, a bar equipped with a stage area for entertaining, game room, full bar taps and bathroom. Generous cantilevered eaves protect the house and exterior spaces from the elements of nature, while preserving a column free view of the meadow. Natural light pours in the large windows of each room creating a well-lit, comfortable living environment.  The living spaces in the main house include a fireplace, a dining room that extends to a large outdoor eating area, a spacious kitchen which connects to a patio used for outdoor cooking and small intimate dinners, plus the kitchen includes an island and butler’s pantry. The master suite is a retreat island within the home and is sheltered from the public spaces and embraces relaxation with a contribution of a sitting room with fireplace, a tiled floor to ceiling shower that extends into a steam room, separate garden tub, connects to an outdoor shower area, and has access to outdoors. The design includes accommodations for overnight guests and provides a home office as well.
