Al Fresco

The owners of this custom designed outdoor kitchen wanted to provide more entertaining possibilities for the many corporate parties they hosted.  Although some of the more formal affairs still require the use of the indoor facilities, an outdoor kitchen area was created that carried out the original architectural language of the house and extends from the main house into the over-sized back yard for more causal laid back parties and includes multiple relaxing, lounging, and eating options. An oversized grill and cook top are situated separately between generous countertop spaces used for food prep and also includes a double sink.  Under the counter tops, an ice machine is installed and cabinets offer adequate storage for cookware and culinary utensils. The arrangement of the kitchen allows for the chef to interact with guests while being able to keep watchful eyes on the food. A porch swing encourages intimate conversation while catching summer breezes and when cooler nights arrive, the double-sided fire place offers warmth during the meal and is fully equipped with additional lounge seating on the lower patio side for after dinner cocktails and cigars.
