Booneville Community Pharmacy

The concept of this hometown pharmacy design is centered on creating an environment that supplements the customers’ needs and enhances the working environment for employees. Using creative techniques, this 8,900 sqft design employed a renovation to the existing pharmacy while expanding through an addition housing medical supplies to meet the demanding needs of the community. Inside the pharmacy, generous shelving and displays offer a variety of over the counter (OTC) medications, drop off counter, pick up counter, waiting area with 8 seating capacity, customer restrooms, and a consulting room where they have the option to receive counseling on medications or receive vaccinations. Pharmacists and technicians are able to move efficiently through the medications which allows them to proficiently use the aid of robotic dispensary. Employees have a private bathroom and break room and pharmacists have two private offices.  A fully stocked medical supply wing was added to increase floor space and displays larger items such as hospital beds, ambulation assistance devices, bedside toilets, wheel chairs, lift chairs, and a host of other medical supplies. A medical assistant is available to demonstrate and teach proper use of the equipment and has a private office and bathroom located in the wing.  To increase convenience for customers, two covered drive-thru lanes were included and three points of entrance/exit permit easy access to roadways. 23 customer parking spaces allow adequate parking in front of the building while employee parking and delivery is situated near the rear entrance.
